The Cooperstown Concert Series was founded in 1970 as the Arts Project Committee of the Women’s Club of Cooperstown, but since 1979 it has been an independent, not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to promote cultural growth in the Cooperstown area. To date, approximately 300 professional performances and other events spanning the widest variety of the performing arts have been presented by our all-volunteer organization. The “staff” of approximately 10-15 individuals possesses an impressive range of skills, experiences and interests, but most especially a commitment to the betterment of our community. This group works year-round to do everything from selecting the artists to stage-managing the performances.

Starting in 2016-17, Concert Series has embarked on a corporate sponsorship program, which produced solid first year results.

The Cooperstown Concert Series represents community service at its finest. Our volunteers have furthered the Concert Series goals, in ways big and small, for no other reward than the satisfaction of bringing the performing arts to the area for the benefit and enjoyment of its people.
